When you can't be bothered cooking dinner, take away food can make for a quick and cheerful dinner option. A family favourite to either take home and eat, or pick up and eat alfesco at the beach is the humble fish and chips.

Crispy batter, flaky fish and a bundle of chips drenched in salt and vinegar is a combination that hits the spot for many.

I have to say Sharkies at Dolphin Quay in Mandurah has great fish and chips. The fish seems always so fresh and the chips don't have a greasy taste at all. There used to be a Sharkeys Restaurant at Hillarys Boat harbour as well, but they changed owners.
I like the Beaumaris Fish and Chips in Ocean Reef which is perfect for taking down to the beach. If I'm down in Dunsborough on holiday I absolutely make a beeline for Squid Lips, where I'm guaranteed the freshest pink snapper. It is worth the 3 hour journey for the fish alone.
Clancy's- always
The Groper and His Wife in City Beach - they also serve salads. Grab some dinner and drive down the road for a beachside picnic as the sun sets over the ocean...
There is a good one in Morley/Beford called Kiwi F & C.

The chips are crispy and when you order fish, you get 2 or 3 pieces of thick fish, and often two of something else when you order one.

They are quick also, and are in Walter Road.
