There's something about whales that most of us find intriguing. Their immense size, their grace and their annual migration makes them something of an enigma, and therefore whale-watching has become extremely popular over the last few decades.

Have you ever been whale-watching here in Perth, and if so, did you do so on a cruise or from the shore?. Where are the best local spots for whale-watching?

I would think Rockingham is a good one, and they are also often spotted at Albany.

There has been occasions where they are further up north near Hillarys however I don't think you can count on this.

I have never seen one.

I'm not sure whether whales can be spotted from the coastline near Perth but I know they can be from the West End of Rottnest Island.
Just on the outskirts of Fremantle, however I agree with Carolyn - not sure if you can spot Whales from that side. Best place is further north up the coast where there is some elevation...or by taking a whale watching tour from Safety Bay!
