The entertainment book, and associated 'gold card' provide its owner with literally hundreds of cost saving benefits. You can save money on restaurants, hotels, days outs and even get discounts on your shopping.
Perth has become somewhat renowned for being one of the most expensive cities in Australia, so with this in mind, how have you put the entertainment book to good use, and what do you think is the best deal contained within its glossy covers.
There are some great buy one get one free meal vouchers in the book that we always use first, as this really brings down the cost a meal out with the family. For the kids, we use the Scitech coupon, the bowling coupons and the cinema coupons too. The reduced entry fees for places like Araluen Botanical Gardens and mini golf places are great too. There is so much in the book to bring down eating out and getting out and about in Perth.
I got my best deal from The Maze. I went there with my 6 years old and 3 years old daughters. My offer was one free entry of the same value or lower than the paid entrance fee. Since my 3 years old is free (children up to 3 years old enter free of charge), my voucher from Entertainment book allows free entry for my 6 years old which would normally cost $ 14.50. As a paying adult, I also got a concession fee as a student and only paid $20.00 instead of $ 23.50. That was a really great deal. Allin all I paid a $20 entry for myself and 2 children. Thank you Entertainment book and thank you The Maze for a great deal!
We used the gold card in restaurants a few times, but these were top class so were still expensive. Our greatest savings was in the takeaway food section, especially the bread and chicken deals. We did save a lot of money on purchasing our food and used nearly all the vouchers from this section . We did not touch most of the other sections but still found we were ahead in savings.
