In today's stressful, hectic world, when do we find time to stretch and strengthen our muscles? Pilates is an excellent complete body workout, helping to fix all sorts of injuries, aches and pains, and it strengthens back and core muscles to prevent injuries in the future.
Pilates School of WA, on Beaufort Street in Bedford offer an excellent beginners course. They also have a studio at Karrinyup Shopping Centre. The Bedford studio has a range of classes throughout the week - mat technique, bate-natal, reformer and ballet-fit. I did the beginners course years ago, and still use the exercises I learnt then. I've also done the floor and reformer classes - they are both excellent for building core strength and toning. The instructors are wonderful people who really care, and really know what they're talking about.
Sense of Space in subiaco. Great contemporary pilates studio with experienced instructors and lots of classes to choose from throughout the day. They also teach yoga, and is one of the cheapest I've found at $89/month unlimited classes (cheaper than pilates school of WA and I think its a better school)
