I firstly turn on the air conditioner on hot, or the gas heating in one room.

I wear about 3 layers of clothes including thermal underwear, and I am still cold.

I think as you get older you feel the cold, though on saying this I have a friend the same age who wears just one layer and is still hot!

I usually go to bed early as it is the only way I can really keep warm apart from turning heat up very high, and that makes me fall asleep anyway!

I haven't used the heater yet, I do have a heated throw rug which works really well and have been using that instead on cold mornings and evenings. The first thing I do is get dressed in a few layers and put on some warm socks or slippers, then turn the kettle on to make a hot drink. Lately I have been wearing a double lined hoodie jumper and a beanie around the house to keep warm!
crazy for us to have to dress like this inside! I dread my electricity/gas bill!

Well I like to use the heater to warm up the room. However, when it comes to brave the outdoors, it is warm gloves, jacket and and a scarf.
It doesn't get really cold in Sydney in the mornings, Au. Every day I'm staying home (which is most days,) I turn the bar heater on before I get up to make up my big bowl of cereal with rolled oats, diced dried fruit, fresh fruit, almond meal & lots of other things on it, refill hot water bottle, & turn off the heater, as I climb back into bed, with my breakfast! (I can only mention this from a Sydney residents point of view!)
