I have noticed that Perth only has a few theme parks in Perth, and they are all water. I think that more parks should be built for us to get more visitors. If you look on the other side on Australia, you will see plenty of parks, and lots of visitors.
Perth is a beautiful city with its own quirky individualities. The city needs these traits to be recognised by international tourists through interesting and honest promotion. This city is reawakening, it's a fantastic thing to be a part of - and I'm sure word is spreading to the rest of the world!
Here is from an article
"WA's once-overheated hotel market has recorded a decline in occupancy rates for the first time in four years, with the State now falling behind NSW, Victoria and Tasmania, according to latest figures."
Figures last year fell to about 66%, and I wonder what could actually be done to encourage more people to come to Perth. Even some of the touring pop bands do not come here.
As an Eastern Stater, it is very difficult and expensive for me to visit Perth. I think the answer lies with the airlines. Perth is a wonderful city and I don't think there is anything that would make it more attractive to tourists. It has the lot! Forget theme parks. Tourists want something unique to a city.
