Have you ever gone on a wildflower tour in Western Australia, or gone on a holiday specifically to see the wildflowers in season?

I have not, as I do not like bus tours, however I have friends who actually go in their four wheel drive and some of the photos they bring back are absolutely amazing.

I didnt realise we had such beautiful flowers until I saw these photos some years ago.

Finy, The friends I stayed with in WA for a week, drove me to Kings Park. The wild flowers there was lovely. Then they drove me up the coast, as far as York I think it was. It was a very small town, with hardly any people around. It used to be a monastery. I think I was there back in the late '90's. We saw so many wildflowers!

I have not been on a tour. However I have driven to see the wildflowers. I did not see that many through the hiking trails. BUT - I did see a lot of them in the fields as we drove past!
A very long time ago! I loved it, however you can pop up to King's Park and see an amazing display. You don't have to drive that far either!
fiona, parking there is difficult? I didnt think of that though -thanks!!

Never on a guided tour but my husband and I regularly go driving and hiking in the Hills and beyond during spring, hoping to spot some wildflowers. Some of the nature reserves on the Wheatbelt are good places to head for.
Wildflower time just happens to be the best time to travel the North-West, so I have enjoyed seeing them along with th spectacular scenery and fauna.
