I asked this question as I have a bus service that goes down my street, however it just does not run on a Sunday!
The first time I discovered this was when I went to the Royal Show one year and tried to get home.
Ended up having to walk for miles as didnt know the taxi number -my daughter in law reminded me, that is why I have a mobile phone -to look things up in cases like this.
Needless to say I now have taxi number in my phone however on that day there were also no taxis around at the Galleria in Morley....AND it was about 37 degrees.
So, no, my bus service is not good apart from peak times -during the day it only goes every hour.
I'm in Bayswater, so I'm very spoilt. The train station is just a ten minute walk away and there are three other separate routes to either the city or Morley even closer. Until last year the 44 bus into Perth city used to stop in the next street...unfortunately, though, it was terminated due to low numbers of passengers. I'm not surprised...often I'd be the only one on it!
Our bus service, is a 5 minute walk from our house, but they only come 1 an hour & they go to the train station. We have to try to plan our travel home, so we don't miss our bus by 5/10 mins. There are other buses we could catch, but we have to get off 1/2 way, & walk, then walk down the 196 steps through the bush, then walk for about 10 minutes to our house!. Not a good thing to have to do in the rain! While we're waiting, we can go back over the other of the station, & look in Coles,or check out 2 op shops, which aren't anywhere next to each other!
