Now that winter is here and it is often cold, do you find you are not going out socially as much as you were?

Definitely. Especially with the evenings being cool. I'm more likely to stay home and rug up with a good book.
There is a little drop in the social side. But that is mostly because everyone else is staying home! Then again - who really enjoy the cold and the rain - unless there is a nice hot bath/shower near by! LOL
I make myself go out even when I don't really want to in the cold weather.

I get all snug and warm in the air conditioning and would stay here all day if I did not do this.

I hate it when people cancel arrangements because it is raining, or in summer, because it is too hot! does not gel well with me at all, and I have a few friends who do this.

This summer I told myself "I am not hot" and it worked to a degree, however winter it is not working -I am always cold, but still go out as normal.

Sorry, Finy, We love staying home on hot days, even though we don't have air-con nor ceiling fans, just 1 floor fan to cover the whole house. As I'm writing this, the sweet is running down inside my dress, & it's 37/8c!

I actually go out more in the winter than I do in summer. The cold weather energises me, whereas the summer heat makes me feel lethargic. During winter I love to hike in the Perth Hills and cycle near the river, as well as visiting the city to shop and sightsee.
I'm reading this question, during a heatwave SUMMER in Sydney, '17! And no, we don't go out often in this stinking hOT weather! In winter we got out, when we need to go out, (e.g. my 3k morning walks, for shopping, on a lunch date or to Melbourne, to stay with our youngest daughter & to visit the 2 grand-daughters! That's about it!
