Where does your favourite walk take you

There's nothing quite like a walk in scenic surroundings to dust off the cobwebs and put a smile on your face. Perth plays home to literally hundreds of picturesque walks. Do you have a favourite? What makes it your favourite walk? Is it an easy walk or one that you need a certain level of fitness for?

I've just started running around Joondalup Lake and its such a beautiful walk. Amazing scenery, stunning lake views and you can even spot kangaroos in the morning. I also love the Bells Rapid walk in the beautiful Swan Valley.
There are some beautiful walks along the Swan River. Some favourites of mine are beginning at Bayswater Riverside Gardens, and walking up-stream to Guildford. Some of the walk is through parklands, some is along riverside trails (usually shared with cyclists) and the rest is along pretty peaceful residential streets in riverside Bassendean. When I walk along here I find it hard to believe that I'm still in the city! Another favourite riverside walk is begins at the Woodbridge Play Area and follows the river upstream to Viveash.

Walking in the Perth Hills is also very enjoyable, and I especially enjoy driving up to Mundaring where a lot of very good walks begin at the Mundaring Sculpture Park, including a couple of long-distance ones, if you're really keen.
