Perth, like most cities around the world has lots of public art and statues. So, which is the best public art around Perth and why?

I love all the statues scattered around Perth. So the kangaroos outside of the government buildings on the terrace, the men outside the c restaurant and the upside down man outside London court. They're really good for tourist photos too.
I like all the ones that Helen has mentioned! I think they're definitely favourites with most locals as well as the tourists. I also get a laugh from the sculpture of the diver (or is she a swimmer?) in the Swan River as you head out of the city towards the UWA on Mounts bay road. Whenever there's a big occasion someone always dresses her up! For example, at Xmas she usually has a Santa hat on and when the footy finals are happening she'll get a beanie and wrapped up in footy scarfs.

There's also some great public art at many Perth railway stations. For example, Shenton Park station has some very cool and realistic murals depicting trains.

The Mundaring Sculpture Park also features some very quirky sculptures by some of the most talented artists living in the Perth Hills.

The grounds of UWA have an extensive collection of local an international pulic art.

Definitely NOT St George and the Dragon outside St George's Cathedral, but take a look inside. In the other sculpture depiciting this heroic feat, St George has a "Who, me?" look on his face, and the dragon seems quite resigned to his fate.
